The 2nd International Image Ambassador’s Contest of Rongzhi College and the Award Ceremony of the 1st “ Most Beautiful English Notes Contest”
The Final Session of the2nd International Image Ambassador’s Contest of Rongzhi College was held on 30th of May. On the occasion, we invite distinguished guests, Mr. Wu Hua’an, Vice-President of Rongzhi College, Mrs Gao Xuelian, deputy secretary of School of Management and Engineering of Rongzhi College, Mr Li Zhe, deputy secretary of School of Logistics and Engineering, Miss Wu Yan, from International Language Study Center of Rongzhi College, and Miss Han Tingting, from Overseas Student Service of Rongzhi College. The honorable judges are professor Jennifer from Chongqing Technology and Business University, professor Edward from Chongqing Technology and Business University, Miss Shi Zhuanzhuan, the director of International Cooperation and Exchange Department, Miss Zhang Xuejiao from International Language Study Center of Rongzhi College, and Miss Huang Yue, from m Overseas Student Service of Rongzhi College. All of them are experts on English teaching and learning.
As for the rules of the competition, each of the 10 contestants has 5 minutes to present a prepared speech based on the Power Point which is the introduction of RongzhiCollege, and 2 minutes to answer questions raised by the judges. Full Marks are ten. That is, five points for the prepared speech on the Power Point slides, three points for questions answering and two points for the general impression concerning each speaker’s dressing, accessories and behaviors.
After half an hour’s fierce competition, the final results are coming on. The first prize winner of the 2nd International Image Ambassador goes to Chen Zeyu, a boy from ACCA major, who want to be a volunteer of foreign affairs and international image promotion in the future.
At the same time, there was the award ceremony of the first “ Most Beautiful English Notes Contest”, which was held from April 30 to May 15. 6 excellent works of students and 2 excellent works of teachers stood out, which fully demonstrated the enthusiasm of teachers and students in English learning and encouraged students to develop good language learning habits.
These two events are important events in the 2019 International Cultural Exchange Month, as well as important measures to promote international awareness of teachersand students. Eighteen winners from both events will be the spokespersons forthe international development of our school. In the future, our school will organize various kinds of professional and non-professional international competitions, striving to improve the international quality of our teachers and students, and further improve our international reputation.
