Activities Done at the “Study Abroad Culture Week” Series of “International Cultural Exchange Month”

In order to create a good international atmosphere in our school and enhance our teachers and students’ awareness of internationalization, our school specially invited high-quality international project participants to carry out activities of “Study Abroad Culture Week” from May 6th to May 19th in the annual “InternationalCultural Exchange Month”.

This activity was hold both online and offline, covering language learning, study planning and cultural experience, with an aim to expose teachers and students of our school to advanced international education concepts, experience different cultures, strengthen their language learning skills andinternational literacy. The “Approach IELTS, Know IELTS - IELTS Learning Plan for Finance and Economics Majors” organized by the School of Finance of our school made it clear for students to have an in-depth understanding of IELTS preparation and plan. This school also organized “English Dubbing Contest”, which made their students participate in “practicing oral English with fun”. The School of Logistics Engineering of our school actively and meticulously organized three information sharing conferences on studying at prestigious international universities, which broadened the students’ international vision and deepened their understanding of different destination countries.

The School of New Media Art of our school provided valuable suggestions on academic planning for its students in the two sharing sessions of “Three Most Classical Countries for Media Majors to Study in” and “The Sharing of Graduate Studies of New Media Majors”. Activities hosted by the School of Digital Economics and the School of Public Administration of our school, such as a “Japanese Dubbing Competition”, online “Learning in Japan” and cultural experience of Japan and South Korea, aroused students’ interest in learning minor languages.

“Study Abroad Culture Week” series has held 27 activities, with a total of over 2,000 students participating. These activities were rich in forms and content, various kinds of language learning skills and overseas study consultation and sharing activities playing a positive role in creating a foreign language learning atmosphere, improving students’ language learning skills, optimizing students’ academic planning. In the process of organizing the event, the International Cooperation and Exchange Office of our school coordinated the cooperation between these secondary schools and the project party, bringing a variety of wonderful activities for the students. In the future, the International Cooperation and Exchange Office of our school will be more active in enriching campus culture and creating a good international atmosphere, while making more attempts and efforts to enhance our students’ international competitiveness.
