A Lecture on “Theory and Practice of Ideological and Political Education in All Courses- Taking Western Economics as an Example” Given by Professor LI Zhengjun invited by Teacher Development Center

 

On comprehensively advancing Ideological and Political Education in All Academic Courses of our school, as required by the “Notice on Comprehensively Advancing Ideological and Political Education in All Courses of Higher Education Institutions” giving by Chongqing Municipal Education Commission, a lecture on “Theory and Practice of Ideological and Political Education in All Courses - Taking Western Economics as an Example” was organized by Teacher Development Center and cohosted by the Economics Teaching Team of our school at 2:30 PM in Intelligent Classroom 1220 on October 9, 2020. This lecture was given by professor LI Zhengjun, and chaired by TENG Xueying, associate director of the Academic Affairs Office of our school. There was a total of 57 teachers attended the lecture.

Professor Li began the lecture by emphasizing rational thinking and discussion of Ideological and Political Education in All Courses, then he introduced the theme of the lecture – “Theory and Practice of Ideological and Political Education in All Courses” and analyzed it with a sketch idea of “what is Ideological and Political Education in All Courses, why should we do it, and how do I do it”

 

In the course of the lecture, Professor Li explained “What is Ideological and Political Education in All Courses, What is Course, What is Ideological and Political Education, What is the difference between Ideological and Political Education in All Courses and Ideological and Political Course” and shared his thoughts and conclusions on Ideological and Political Theories Teaching in All Courses and politics, ideas he got after reading domestic and foreign materials. Then, he took Western Economics, a course he has been teaching for many years, as an example to share his experience and perception of the method for integrating Ideological and Political Education into the course of Western economics.

In his two-hour lecture, Professor Le explained the profound in simple language with a rigorous logic and showed the teachers present a method for integrating Ideological and Political Education into academic courses, offering a theoretical knowledge of Ideological and Political Education in All Courses, and its vivid teaching cases. This lecture has important guiding significance to the work of improving teacher’s skills in Ideological and Political Education and advancing Ideological and Political Education in all academic courses of our school.
