Broaden International Vision and Pursue Further Study Abroad - The Sharing Meeting of International Projects Held by the School of Accounting

 

Studying abroad has always been an important part of further study for the students at the School of Accounting of our school. Since 2018, student enrollment at foreign universities has taken an important proportion in the number of students enrolled by graduate schools home and abroad. Among the graduates in 2020, 21 of them went to study abroad, accounting for 56% of the graduates furthering their studies at graduate schools. Among them, 10 of them got into

the top 100 in QS and 6 of them the top 200 in QS.

 

In an effort to create a good atmosphere of pursuing further study, improve students’ knowledge and understanding of international projects, the School of Accounting worked with New Oriental Vision Overseas to hold three “Alumni Sharing Meeting” through an online social media platform-Dingding in this winter vacation, where three alumni were invited, including SHI Jiaxin studying at the University of Queensland, YANG Qian at Boston university, and ZHOU Yijun at the University of Manchester.

 

At 19:00 on January 26th, SHI Jiaxin shared with students her own experience especially the application process, and Teacher HE Liuxi introduced Australia culture and the skills of making plans for studying at Australia. At 19:00 on January 31st, YANG Qianxue shared her life and learning experience while studying at America, motivating the students to prepare in advance, and make the arrangements early. Then teachers HUANG Ming introduced students the process of applying to an American school and the preparation needed in advance. At 19:00 on February 4th, ZHOU Yijun introduced her experience of studying in the UK and what she saw and heard there. Then WANG Ruofei introduced and explained the application process of studying in the UK.

In recent years, the international program has been continuously boosting the work of the School of Accounting in terms of their students pursuing their study at a higher level of education. The international program will also become one of the important ways for the School of Accounting to promote high-quality further study. And it will be combined with the “Financial Elite Cultivation Plan” promotion program to form a series of special and continuous activities.
