Scholars of Our School were Invited to Participate in the Chongqing Economic Roundtable

 

On March 26th, a special economic round table, jointly organized by Chongqing Productivity Development Center, Chongqing Commerce Commission, Chongqing Academy of Social Sciences and Chongqing Comprehensive Economy Institute, was held in Wu’du hotel, Chongqing. This meeting was presided over by Wu Jianong, director of Expert Committee of Chongqing Productivity Development Center. Other participants of the meeting includes Tong Xiaoping, Chairman of Chongqing Productivity Development Center, three former vice-chairman of the municipal CPPCC (Chen Wanzhi, Yu Xuexin, Li Jianchun), and experts and scholars from relevant municipal departments, districts (counties), enterprises and scientific research organizations. Scholars of our school who were invited to participate in this meeting are Fang Chaojun, assistant president of our school, Zhang Li, director of the Scientific Research Office of our school, and Chen Jingyu, full-time teacher of our school.

The theme of this economic round table was “Chongqing’s opportunities and challenges brought about by the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP)”. There were 5 keynote speeches and 2 written speeches. Qian Zhaogang, member of the joint research group of Chongqing Productivity Development Center, Chongqing Chamber of Commerce for Importers and Exporters, and Chongqing Finance and Economics College, delivered a speech on the theme of “Preliminary Thinking on the Third-party Market Cooperation between Chongqing and Singapore under RCEP”.

In recent years, Chongqing Finance and Economics College has cooperated with relevant market players, industry associations and research institutions to build collaborative innovation platforms such as “Yangtze River Conference and Exhibition Economics Research Institute”, “Channel and National Economic Research Institute” and “Green Development Research Institute”, focusing on regional economic development and providing decision-making consultation and project services. This relevant research on “Third-party Market Cooperation between Chongqing and Singaporeunder RCEP” has been undertaking by the “Research Institute of Channel and National Economy” of our school.
