On April 1st and 2nd, 2021, the first work Session of “Industry-Education Integration Allianceof Applied Colleges in Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle” and the National Industry-education Integration Pilot City Construction Seminar, sponsored by the Industry-Education Integration Alliance of Application-oriented Universities in Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle, was held at Chengdu Technology Institute in Yibin, Sichuan Province. With a theme on “Gathering strength, Cooperation, Service and Win-win”, the conference received strong support from Sichuan Provincial Department of Education, Chongqing Municipal Education Commission and other superior departments, as well as Yibin Municipal People’s Government, its Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle Bureau, Science and Technology Bureau, Industrial-Civilian Integration Bureau, Economic and Information Technology Bureau and other relevant departments. More than 100 people from 36 allied universities and enterprises attended the meeting, including Zhang Jian, vice mayor of Yibin Municipal People’s Government, Yin Huachuan, president of Chongqing Science and Technology University, Yan Yusong, president of Chengdu Technology Institute. The principal of our school, Wu Hua’an, led a team to attend the meeting and made a theme report there. Zhou Guangjun, vice president of Yibin University, and Qi Junsheng, vice president of Chongqing Three Gorges University presided over the two phases of the meeting respectively.
At the meeting, reports were given on the topics including the integrated development of higher education in Chengdu-Chongqing region, the exploration and construction of modern industrial colleges, the integration of schools and enterprises, the integration of industry and education, and the cooperative education of government, industry, enterprise and school.
Focusing on the construction of the twin-city economic circle in Chengdu-Chongqing area, this conference adheres to the principle of “sincere cooperation, complementary advantages, shared resources and common development”, showing the voice of government, enterprise, school leaders and experts, the new attempt of alliance cooperation form, the new content of school-school cooperation, and the new improvement of friendship among alliance members.
