On the morning of May 14th, our school and the University of Southeast Asia in Thailand had a video meeting to discuss cooperation. The conference was chaired by Shi Zhuanzhuan (Director of International Cooperation and Exchange Department of our school), and attended by the administration from both sides, including Wu Hua’an (President of our chool), Fang Chaojun (Assistant to the President of our school), Cui Zhongshan (Minister of Human Resources Department of our school), Dr. Chattavut Peechapol (President of the University of Southeast Asia), Assist Prof. Dhanate Vespada (Vice President for International Cooperation of the University of Southeast Asia and Dean of the School of International Affairs of the University of Southeast Asia), Mr. Pon Putthanukorn (Vice President for External Affairs of the University of Southeast Asia), and Mr. Wang Yi (Assistant to the President for International Cooperation of the University of Southeast Asia). The two sides discussed the joint training programs for Master and PhD level in the future.
At the beginning of the meeting, Fang Chaojun introduced the basic information of our school, including the geographical location, development history, disciplines and specialties, teaching and research, international cooperation and exchange achievements, and the like. Pon Putthanukorn also introduced the development history of the University of Southeast Asia and the setting up of majors at the undergraduate, master and doctoral level. Then the two sides exchanged views on the joint training project for Master and PhD level in the two universities, reaching a preliminary cooperation intention. President Wu Hua’an expressed his hope for the international cooperation and exchanges between the two universities, and warmly welcomed the representatives of the University of Southeast Asia to visit our university.
Southeast Asia University (SEU) is a private University under the office of the Commission on Higher Education, the Ministry of Education of Thailand. It has four secondary schools, and they are the School of Architecture and Engineering, the School of Economics and Management, the School of Law and the School of Arts and Science. It offers more than 10 undergraduate and master programs, such as Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Safety Department Management, Industrial Engineering, Accounting, Human Resource Management, Law, Finance, Computer, Business English, etc. This time, our cooperating overseas school group has been expanded with the participation of the University of Southeast Asia. It is believed that this meeting will also bring new inspirations and new ideas for our school to develop new international cooperation modes and fields.
