In order to promote the implementation of the strategy of rejuvenating the country through science and education as well as strengthening the country through talent cultivation, and improve the scientific quality of the general public, Chongqing Science and Technology Bureau hold the 2021 Home Exhibition of Chongqing Science and Technology Week, and it is themed on “Looking Back in 100 Years: The Communist Party of China Leads the Development of Science and Technology”, at Chongqing Garden Expo Park. The Artificial Intelligence Science Popularization Center of our school was invited to participate in the exhibition, and presented three activities there: maker interaction, intelligent product experience and popular science show, with an aim to let visitors understand artificial intelligence regarding its principle, history and convenience, and feel its charm through interactive experience.
At the exhibition stand of the Artificial Intelligence Science Popularization Center of our school, visitors will see a variety of artificial intelligence technology products, with volunteers leading them to experience learning machine, iFlytek translation pen, iFlytek dictionary translation pen, voice recorder pen, Alpha Big Egg, etc. Visitors felt the charm of intelligent products through experience in person.
Maker interaction is the most popular part of the exhibition. Visitors competed to experience the fun of catching machine. Some children even showed their excellent programming ability, competing to experience the programmable robot.
In the sector of artificial intelligence science lecture, the narrator enthusiastically explained the development history of artificial intelligence and other relevant knowledge to the visitors, which was fascinating and motivating.
By attending this exhibition, our school effectively showed her ability in public service, further expanded her social influence by leading more people to pay attention to the scientific concept of artificial intelligence and to evoke their thinking, and by building the atmosphere for the youth to study science, to love science, and to apply science. This has created a good atmosphere for training the potential talents of artificial intelligence in the future. During this period, Zhang Li, director of the Scientific Research Office of our school went to the site to experience the development of the on-site activity, and he gave a high evaluation and recognition to this activity.
