Our Students Won 14 Awards in the Chongqing Regional Final of the 11th National College Students’ E-commerce Innovation Competition

To increase college students’ employment and entrepreneurship, and to cultivate their consciousness and ability to create, innovate, and build, the Chongqing Regional Final of the 11th National College Students’ Electronics Business “Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship” Challenge was held in Chongqing Transport Vocational College, with the National E-commerce and Education Integration Innovation Alliance as the sponsor and Chongqing Normal University and Chongqing Transport Vocational College as the organizers. The 14 teams of our school won 1 special prize, 1 first prize, 2 second prize, 6 third prize and 4 excellence awards at the fierce competition. The quantity and quality of the works of these teams were better than their counterparts from similar colleges.

 

This competition is a key event selected into the ranking of national universities’ discipline competitions, and a key support project of “Undergraduate Teaching Quality and Teaching Reform Project” by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance. There are a total of 1680 teams participating in the competition, and they are from universities including Chongqing University, Chongqing Normal University, Chongqing Technology and Business University, Southwest University, Chongqing Transport University. Only 212 teams including 823 students entered the audition.

In the competition, the participating teams are expected to build a professional platform leveraging both online and offline resources, with a focus on e-commerce, and the notion of “Internet +”, artificial intelligence, rural revitalization, social services and the like. They are also expected to make statements on their innovation and entrepreneurship at the competition. The project “An’ Yike” by the team from our school left a deep impression on the judges and the audience and won the special prize, as it integrated the new media short video with rural culture and tourism, helped farmers to sell their products through various ways, and implemented the policy of “alleviating poverty and helping farmers”. Also, “An’ Yike” won the best creative award, the best innovation award, and the best entrepreneurship award. Apart from that, the teams from our school won 1 first prize (Kaizhou Nanmen Brown Sugar Project), 2 second prize (Finless Porpoise Tourism, Active Foodie Team), 6 third prize (AR assisting agriculture, Art Forest Literature, “Learned” Takeout Education, Smart Carton Recycling, New E-commerce Assisting Golden Forest to Achieve Rural Revitalization, Resume Diagnosis).

The School of Logistics Engineering of our school has made great efforts in the work of organization, pre-competition training, guidance throughout the competition, with an aim to continuously improve their performance in the competition. This experience has improved our students’ cognition and entrepreneurial ability of innovation and entrepreneurship, and provided valuable experience for everyone. It is hoped that our students would bring more wonderful ideas of innovation and entrepreneurship!
