On the morning of November 16, 2020, the lecture on “Artificial Intelligence Creating New Business Studies Ideas” of a series of academic exchange activities of our school, was successfully held in the smart classroom 1220.
This activity was co-sponsored by the Scientific Research Office of our school and The School of Artificial Intelligence of our school (this school has a partnership with iFlytek). It was lectured by our specially appointed professor YU Le’an, a professor of Beijing Chemical Technology University, winner of the National Science Foundation for Outstanding Youth. Attending the lecture were more than 40 teachers of our school, including all deans and vice deans, the assistant to the president, and directors of all the teaching and research offices of our school. The lecture was chaired by professor ZHANG Li, director of The Scientific Research Department of our school.
Based on the research background of “New Business Studies”, Professor YU Le’an analyzed the bottleneck of the development of traditional business studies, his thinking of the development of new business studies, the development path of new business studies and other aspects. He especially expounded his understanding of how to create new business ideas with consideration of the development characteristics of artificial intelligence technology.
In the interactive discussion, teachers and leaders present at the lecture had an active academic communication with professor Yu, including their consideration of the building of new business course construction.
The success of this academic exchange activity not only presents a rich academic feast for the teachers of our school, but also provides a platform and opportunity for mutual understanding, idea-sharing, and academic exchange, fully reflecting the conscientious attitude of our teachers in scientific research and their effort to create a good academic atmosphere.
About Professor YU Le’an
He is an academician of The International Academy of Systems and Control Science, winner of the National Outstanding Youth Science Foundation, and winner of the first “Ten Thousand People Plan” of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee and the “One Hundred People Plan” of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is now a professor and doctoral supervisor of Beijing Chemical Technology University. His academic achievement includes 5 monographs published, more than 100SCI/SSCI papers cited for nearly 4000 times, and works quoted for more than 8,400 times by other scholars through Google Scholar, with the H index standing at 50, and many papers rated as “ESI highly cited papers” and/or “ESI hot papers”. He has won Elsevier Highly cited Chinese Scholar, Canada ResearchCouncil global Top 1% highly cited Scholar, China Youth Science and Technology Award, National (100) Excellent doctoral dissertation, Natural Science Award of Ministry of Education and first prize of Beijing Science and Technology Award. His main research fields include business intelligence, big data mining, economic forecasting and financial management.
