On November 17th, 2020, the national final of the 4th China Vocational Education Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was held in Chongqing Industry and Technology Vocational College. The project “Law Steward · Intelligent Prevention and Control System of Public Opinion on Emergencies in Colleges and Universities” of our school stood out from the projects selected to go in for the online National Competition, successfully entered the national final and won the third prize of the National Competition, which is a historic breakthrough on our road to enter the National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition.
This competition was hosted by China Vocational Education Association. Present at the competition were HAO Mingjin, vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, QU Qian, vice mayor of Chongqing, LI Jing, minister of the United Front Work Department of Chongqing and other leaders. Starting from August 2020, 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) have registered for the competition, and 120 projects have entered the national on-site finals after the school-level preliminary competition, provincial semi-finals and national network evaluation. The project “Law Steward · Intelligent Prevention and Control System of Public Opinion on Emergencies in Colleges and Universities” directed by MAWenjun from the School of Accounting of our school was selected as one of the nine projects of Chongqing to participate in the national finals, and won the national third prize in the applied undergraduate group with an outstanding performance in its live roadshow defense.
This competition fully reflected the key role of industry-education integration and school-enterprise cooperation in the development of higher education, and it witnessed the signing ceremony of industry-education integration development. At the sigining ceremony, ProfessorWU Hua’an, President of our school, and GUI Cheng, executive President of Iflytek Co.,Ltd., reached a cooperation agreement on matters regarding the “Law Steward” project.
The achievements of our school in the 4th China Vocational Education Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition represent a phased victory in the quality construction of our school’s entrepreneurship and innovation project. The participating teachers and students vividly demonstrated the spirit of our school with their hard work, unremitting efforts, and their good quality of innovation and entrepreneurship, effectively enhancing the inter-school influence of our school’s entrepreneurship and innovation education. In the future, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Center of the School of Continuing Education of our school will further implement the teaching policy of practical education in our school, continue the work to deepen innovation and entrepreneurship, and strive to achieve better results.
