Teachers from the School of Accounting of Rongzhi College were Invited to Attend the 2020 Annual Conference of China Commercial Accounting Institute

On December 12-13,2020, the 2020 annual conference of China Commercial Accounting Institute was held in Beijing, co-sponsored by China Commercial Accounting Institute and TheJournal of Commercial Accounting. The conference themed on “Accounting Education Reform and Career Development in Digital Age”. Three teachers of our school were invited to this conference, and they are Professor ZHANG Xinrong, academic leader of the School of Accounting, YANG Ruili, assistant to the dean of the School of Accounting, and LIU Xianzhou, deputy director of the Accounting Teaching and Research Office.

 

At the beginning of the conference, professor XIE Zhihua from Beijing Technology and Business University, president of the 8th Council of China Commercial Accounting Institute, made a speech. Then JIA Chunxia, vice president of The Journal of Commercial Accounting, made a speech. The conference specially invited experts from the industry,universities and research circles to give theme reports on “The Demand for Accounting Talents in Digital Age”, “Accounting Education Reform and Innovation”, “Changes and Challenges of Auditing Work”, “Internationalization of Accounting Standards” and other topics. They put forward their own understanding and suggestions on the professional development of accountants and the reform of accounting education from two aspects - industry practice and school education.

The forum also held round-table forums on “Curriculum Setting and Teaching for Undergraduate Accounting Major in Digital Age” and “Higher Vocational Accounting Education and Capability Framework Reconstruction in Digital Age”, and three parallel sub-forums on the theme of accounting education reform and career developmentin digital age.

In the third parallel forum, LIU Xianzhou, full-time teacher of our school, was invited to make comment on a paper entitled “Chain Shareholders and Enterprise Innovation Input: Promoting or Inhibiting?” submitted by Inner Mongolia Finance and Economics University. Ms Liu made detailed comments on the article from six aspects: language logic, article structure, theoretical framework, research design, empirical results and reference citation. All the teachers attending the forum gained a lot through the study and intercommunication at this academic parallel forum, and that layed a foundation for their future scientific research work.

This meeting brings enlightenment to our school on how to determine the goal of personnel training, how to build the professional system and curriculum system of accounting education and teaching, and how to promote the reform of accounting education. At the same time, it will also greatly promote the construction of first-class major and intelligent accounting of accounting discipline and accounting major in our university.
