Recently, the 2020 Digital Architecture Innovation and Application Competition was held online rather than offline, due to the influence of the COVID-19. The competition organizing committee put forward the core idea of “fair online competition, stabile test system, authentic offline-like experience”. In the competition, there are more than 4000 participating teams formed by over 13,000 students and teachers from a total of over five hundred universities and technical colleges across China. The three participating teams from our school, formed by 9 students including WU Shuqing, XIONG Jingyi and JIAN Fan, competed in its Engineering Management Comprehensive Application and Civil Construction Comprehensive Application, achieving high performance, with the three students, WU Shuqing, LIAO Junyu and CHEN Jiansong, won the first project prize and the second group prize at the Project Management Application Competition, and another three students, JIAN Fan, DAI Jiahang and KUANG Shuai, won the first project prize and the third group prize at the Civil Construction Comprehensive Application. These students were led by CAI Jiayan and BAI Fangyan, two full-time teachers from the School of Public Administration of our school.

In an effort to achieve a good performance, our school organized the In-school Selection Competition of Digital Architecture Innovation and Application Skills in June 2020, and the students entered the finals were offered nearly three months of hard training and strict pre-competition guidance. On the day of the competition, the participating teams of our school displays their skills under pressure, achieving high performance.

Through the competition, the teaching reform of the discipline - engineering management, with an aim to promote learning and teaching through competition, has been further promoted. This can not only effectively improve students’ interest and enthusiasm for professional learning, but also help the School of Public Administration of our school to seek new development ideas in professional teaching reform, and new impetus for the later discipline innovation construction.
