On the afternoon of April 14, 2021, the first session of “Minsheng Banking Career Planning Seminar” was held in Room 1204 of the Teaching Building of our school. Ms. Chenyan, president of Minsheng Bank of Banan District, Chongqing, attended the meeting. 14 juniors of our school majoring in business management of commercial banks signed up for the study and all attended the forum. This forum focuses on the topics of frontier issues in the banking field and professional ability improvement.
At the beginning of the forum, a staff at the human resources department of Minsheng Bank introduced the cutting-edge issues of the development research of the banking industry. President Chen of Minsheng Bank analyzed in detail the special features of the banking industry compared with other industries, and “entrusted” the students to have a clear goal, and to believe that persistence is “remaining profit”. He also shared with the students his own study and research experience, and told them that this industry requires everyone to work steadfast and attentively, in the hope of helping them to have a clearer and comprehensive understanding of the industry.
Alumni of our school working at Minsheng Band shared their original intention to enter the enterprise, the growth situation in the enterprise, the training system for young talents and other related aspects.
Our students majoring in bank management, concering their professional and career planning expectations, actively inquired and consulted the present principals and alumni representatives of Minsheng Bank, in terms of the work content, work location, and work skill of applying the knowledge they learned from books in practical work. The forum ended in an warm and harmonious atmosphere.
The success of this forum helped dispel the confusion faced by students of commercial bank operationand management, and that clarified and confirmed these students’ direction of future development, and strengthened their awareness of career planning and professional quality enhancing. Our school will give full play to the advantages of human resources of both school and enterprises, further promote the integration of production, teaching and research, and create a new situation of talent transfer and joint innovation and development of Minsheng Bank and the School of Finance of our school.
